David, a life-long Akron
resident, is a Certified
Public Accountant. Prior to
opening his own accounting
practice in January of 1996,
he was affiliated with
Touche Ross & Co. and its
predecessor, J.K. Lasser &
Co., for over six years, and
was a partner in a local
firm for twelve years. David
has had experience in
auditing, business
consulting, tax research and
compliance, and personal
financial planning. He
specializes in working with
closely held corporations in
the medical, service,
wholesale distribution,
retail, construction, and
manufacturing industries.
David is a graduate of the
University of Akron with a
B.S. degree in Accounting
and has attended the Masters
of Taxation program at the
University of Akron. He
graduated from St. Vincent -
St. Mary High School in
Akron.
David is a member of the
Ohio Society of Certified
Public Accountants, the
American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants
and the Medical Group
Management Association.
David is a Notary Public in
the State of Ohio. He was
previously treasurer and
board member of the Akron
Jaycees, the Akron Jaycees
Foundation, treasurer of the
YMCA Endowment Foundation, a
member of the Board of
Trustees of the Akron Rotary
Club and chairman of the
finance committee at the
Portage Country Club. He is
presently a director of the
Akron Zoological Park, and
Bluecoats Incorporated,
director of a local private
foundation, chairman of the
advisory board of Francesca
Residence and director and
treasurer of the One-In-Six
Foundation. David is a
graduate of the 1990-1991
class of Leadership Akron.
He is a member of the West
Akron Board of Trade,
Bluecoats, Rotary Club of
Akron and Portage Country
Club.
David lives in Akron with
his wife, Nancy, and
daughter, Kristen. He enjoys
spending his free time
playing tennis, golf and
shooting sporting clays. As
a family, they are
parishioners of St. Anthony
Catholic Church in Akron.
